I have been playing with metallic colour, glitter or sparkles or bling bling lately by adding shiny effects into my lettering projects.
The experience has been positive and I quite like it, I may incorporate more this newly discover passion into my future works.
Because I am about to start a new project for myself to draw 100 drawings dedicated to Bauhaus as this year celebrates its 100th anniversary since it’s establishment back in 1919 in Weimer, Germany.
I decided to use the name of Bauhaus for this tutorial using glittering.
Now let me share my experience how did I make this little experiment.
I did some sketches to test the style or design of what I want to write.
Then I sketched with pencil the way I wanted my lettering to be written, then use the liquid glue to write on top of the pencil marks.
The materials that I used was:
- Paper 4 x 6 inch
- Glitter
- Liquid glue with a fine nib
Hold the liquid glue same way as holding a pen and write the words on top of the pencil marks.
The final outcome is like this.
No problem if you don’t use the same materials as me, you can always find alternatives:
